Time to wack out the PVA! So, our brief tells us that we have to make an instrument that does not resemble any other that exists.
Oh.
Well here's my attempt anyway...

Blazin' Biographies- The final bit...

So due to a lack of model (she forgot she was in Portsmouth) I had to do a MAJOR rethink. I found this beastly remix of one of Florence's songs and combined it with video showing scenes of anger and drinking. I thought that none of her previous videos presented those factors so I thought, hey, this could be an alternative video, with an alternative version of the song.
So I came up with this:

I chose to do a video because it would be a challenge, because I literally had no idea how to use a damn camcorder, let alone video editing software.
I tried, and i don't think it's THAT bad...

Blazin' Biographies! Florence Welch

Ok.
So far, I've got a snippet of video that i'm happy-ish with showing.
With the video, i've run it through a blue filter. The idea is to make it cold (unlike her videos which are generally quite rich in colour).

Also, i'm building up my empty bottles and can collection for the final sort of presentation, if you like.
I also have a chandelier thing for part of the installation too.

So here's the video so far...And yes, it's only a few seconds long. Arghhhhhhh.

Florence Welch

Florence welch is the 25 year old front woman and lead vocalist of the band 'Florence and the Machine'. She was born and raised in camber well where she also attended art school.
There's a few things that I want to focus on:
-despite her amazing voice, she often puts herself down. She has a low self esteem!
-She has a cracking sense of humour! She made tents at art school and slept under them claiming she was an installation. She was hungover!
- Her music videos are quite rIch in colour and are either very energetic or quite elegant.

My ideas:
I want to make a music video! I want it to be run through a blue or purple filter as an opposite to her videos. I want to to be shot in an urban setting.
But I want this to be big! I want to project it on walls and have alcohol bottles and cans littering the floor! I want a broken chandelier!
